For many years, I wanted to start an Organization which would extend a helping hand to the forgotten Christians in the Middle East. United People in Christ, Inc.'s immediate goal is to collect money and medicine to improve the well being of Christian Middle Easterners. Long-term goals are to build shelters for the elderly and orphans, establish scholarships for college-bound students, repair and refurbish old, run-down churches. I felt that these acts of love must be done for our brothers and sisters in Christ without the control of any particular church or priest and regardless of denomination; as there is only one Christ, one faith and one baptism.

Everything we have came from the Lord; therefore, we can only give what is His (I Chronicles 29:14). God is love and God is the giver. If you want to learn to be a great lover, you have got to learn to be a great giver, because love and giving go together.

You can give without loving but you cannot love without giving. Giving pulls us closer to God, breaks the grip of materialism, strengthens our faith, blesses us, makes us happy, coming from Christ's mouth that there is more happiness in giving than in receiving.

We want you to think of your brothers and sisters in Christ who are less fortunate than you. Pray for them, show them compassion, extend a helping hand, and share with them some of the bounty the Lord has given you. What you do for them, you do not for them, but you do it for Christ, Himself.

We need donations from each and every brother and sister in Christ in this country. A one-time donation is appreciated, but it will never help as many families, orphans and elderly as we would like to help. Your commitment to send whatever you can -- weekly, monthly, or on any other regular basis will be very much valued. We want each and every one of you to tell at least three friends and/or relatives about our mission, and ask them to do the same.

We can not do this without you, and we ask you to show compassion in word, thought and deed.
